List of Substances in Phase 2 of the DSL IU

Building on Phase 1 of the Domestic Substances List Inventory Update (DSL IU) carried out under the Chemicals Management Plan (CMP), an inventory update of the use and volume information on the remaining priority substances identified through categorization is required in the next phase of the CMP. As commercial activities can vary greatly over time, the DSL information for these substances is dated and may no longer represent current commercial activity in Canada. Updated information on approximately 2,700 substances will be essential for setting future priorities and providing a knowledge base in support of any subsequent risk assessment and risk management activities.
