CURRENT S&T / RESEARCH - Laboratory analytical services, scientific advice, interpretation and support to inspectors, researchers, and program managers within Environment Canada and in other federal and provincial departments
- Performs comprehensive forensic laboratory investigations as a designated analyst under Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) and Fisheries Act
- Provide a wide variety of analytical services, advice, interpretation and recommendations to EC managers and to inspectors, researchers, and field staff within Environment Canada
- In co-operation with other government agencies, participate in the development of projects concerning the presence (or absence) of toxic substances in the environment
- Maintain expertise in Laboratory Informatics which includes the design, development and administration of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS); and designs, installs, administers, repairs and provides support for the laboratory computer/network systems
