Christopher Sioris, Ph. D.

Physical Scientist - remote sensing of atmospheric composition

CURRENT S&T / RESEARCH - Use of remotely-sensed data to improve our understanding of the abundances and spatiotemporal variations of key pollutants, such as aerosols and nitrogen dioxide.

1) comparisons between aerosol depth depth observed by satellites and ground-based instruments

2) studying the ability of satellites to capture variability in surface-level PM2.5 (fine particular matter)

3) developing new techniques for remote sensing of aerosol information from an airborne platform
