Canadian Water Quality Guidelines for the Protection of Aquatic Life—Nitrate Ion

SpryRevised Canadian Water Quality Guidelines for the Protection of Aquatic Life--Nitrate Ion--were posted online on July 12, 2012 at http://ceqg-rcqe.ccme.ca/. These guidelines provide numeric values to protect freshwater and marine biota from both short-term and long-term exposures.  The guidelines were revised by Ontario Ministry of the Environment, with assistance from the National Guidelines and Standards Office, Environment Canada, for the Water Quality Task Group of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME).
