Release of Four Federal Environmental Quality Guidelines
The release of four Federal Environmental Quality Guidelines was announced in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on February 23, 2013.
Federal Environmental Quality Guidelines (FEQG) are recommendations in quantitative or qualitative terms to support federal environmental quality monitoring and risk management.
Atmospheric Science and Technology Directorate’s Climate Research Division hosted a workshop to discuss the implementation of the Snow-Watch component of the World Meteorological Organization’s Global Cryosphere Watch (GCW) program.
The release of the Draft screening assessment report on Nitrobacter winogradskyi ATCC 25391, Nitrobacter species 18132-6, Nitrobacter species 16969-4, Nitrosomonas europaea ATCC 25973, Nitrosomonas species 16968-3, Nitrosomonas species 18133-7, Rhodopseudomonas palustris ATCC 17001, and Rhodopseudomonas species18136-1 was announced in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on January 12, 2013.
First Nanomaterial Added to Domestic Substances List
The Domestic Substances List (DSL) was amended to include the first nanomaterial surface modified nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) in accordance with the New Substances Notifications Regulations (NSNR) under CEPA1999.
