Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit

The Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit is now available for the 2013 season.  To hunt migratory game birds in Canada, you are required to possess a valid federal Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit with an affixed Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation stamp.

The Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permits can be purchased through Canada Post outlets and some independent vendors.

Please note that you must verify the provincial/territorial regulations pertaining to hunting and the carrying of firearms for the province/territory where you will be hunting migratory game birds.

All revenues from the sale  of a Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp, which is affixed to the Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permit, and is available as philatelic stamps products, is dedicated to conserving habitat. To date, over 1,500 conservation projects across Canada have been supported.
