Pollution Prevention Planning Consultations

Halocarbons

Environment Canada has developed a revised version of a draft proposed Pollution Prevention (P2) Planning Notice for halocarbons used as a refrigerant in the stationary air conditioning and refrigeration sector. Environment Canada is currently consulting interested stakeholders. The objectives of this consultation are to:

  • Follow-up previous consultations on the proposed stewardship approach;
  • Provide an update on Environment Canada's approach and present a draft proposed Pollution Prevention (P2) Planning Notice and Schedules;
  • Provide an opportunity for interested stakeholders to comment on the draft proposal, in particular on the factors to consider, the objectives and performance indicators; and
  • Identify any outstanding questions or concerns from interested stakeholders.
