It is critical to provide early warnings any time a tropical storm or hurricane threatens Canada. In order to give Canadians the information they need to protect themselves, their families and their property, Environment Canada's Canadian Hurricane Centre offers all its tropical storm and hurricane products free of charge by e-mail subscription.
Once you subscribe, you will receive all Hurricane Information Statements, Hurricane Watches and Hurricane Warnings whenever they are issued by the Canadian Hurricane Centre.
New users can subscribe by reading the information below and then clicking on the button for the sign-up page.

For example, Hurricane Information Statements are issued every 6 hours any time a storm enters the Canadian Hurricane Centre forecasting area. These Information Statements are quite often issued days before a Hurricane Watch or Hurricane Warning is issued. Furthermore, it is possible to have a Hurricane Watch in effect for one part of Canada and a Hurricane Warning for another part. In this case both products would be e-mailed to you.
Please note that you should not rely exclusively on forecasts from this service because:
