The 20^thcentury was the warmest in the Northern Hemisphere for the past 1000 years. The 1990s was the warmest decade on record and 1998 was the warmest year - in Canada, and internationally.

In fact, in Canada, we've just finished the 19th consecutive season of above normal temperatures. We cannot say with 100 per cent scientific certainty that this IS global warming, but in statistical terms, if you flip a coin 19 times in a row and it keeps coming up heads, you should begin to suspect that something abnormal is going on.
