Bird Conservation Region Strategies
Through the North American Bird Conservation Initiative (NABCI), Canada committed to developing bird conservation strategies for each of the 12 bird conservation regions (BCRs) (and some sub-regions) in Canada; a total of 25 strategies will be prepared.
These all-species ecoregional bird conservation strategies will provide a clear set of conservation objectives for birds of conservation concern across the country developed according to a standard protocol. The strategies will assist Environment Canada in fulfilling its mandate to manage migratory bird populations.
