Regulations Respecting Reduction in the Release of Volatile Organic Compounds (Petroleum Sector)

On May 27, 2017, Environment and Climate Change Canada published two proposed regulations in the Canada Gazette, Part I, for a 60-day public comment period: the Regulations Respecting Reduction in the Release of Volatile Organic Compounds (Petroleum Sector) and the Regulations Respecting Reduction in the Release of Methane and Certain Volatile Organic Compounds (Upstream Oil and Gas Sector). These proposed regulations are intended to reduce methane emissions and air pollution from the oil and gas sector.
