The Transboundary Movement Branch of Environment Canada plans to have the Federal Hazardous Waste Regulations (FHWR) gazetted during 2002-2003. The purpose of the FHWR is to implement management measures that will apply to federal institutions managing hazardous waste namely Federal Departments, Crown Corporations and Custodians; Federal Works and Undertakings; Land North of the 60th Parallel and; Aboriginal Land.
