How to Propose Changes to the National Pollutant Release Inventory
Under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999), proposed changes to the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) must undergo consultation. Approved changes are published in the Canada Gazette.
A formal process on how to propose changes to the NPRI was developed by the 1998-2000 NPRI Multi-stakeholder Work Group on Substances and adopted by Environment Canada (EC).
