National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) Downloadable Datasets

There are a number of important factors to keep in mind when using and interpreting NPRI data. For example, changes to the list of reported substances over time are important to understand when conducting trend analysis. Please review the Considerations when using NPRI data.

NPRI data are available in various downloadable formats, in addition to the online search tools:

1. Facility Data
   Information on pollutant releases, disposals and transfers for recycling reported by facilities, and their latitude and longitude coordinates. Downloadable formats include databases, spreadsheets and map layers, with the data also available through the online search tool for facility-reported data.
   
   
2. Air Pollutant Emission Summaries and Trends
   Summaries and trends for key air pollutants based on data reported by facilities combined with estimates for other emission sources such as motor vessels, residential heating, forest fires and agricultural activities. This data is downloadable in spreadsheet format, as well as being available throuh the online search tool for air pollutant emissions.

1. Facility Data

A) Information on pollutant releases, disposals and transfers for recycling reported to the NPRI by industrial and other facilities

This data is also available through the online search tool for facility-reported data, for those users that may have difficulty accessing the data using the downloadable database, spreadsheet and map layer files. Note that facility-reported data within these files is available in the official language of submission.
