Quebec Laboratory for Environmental TestingWhat we do:

The Quebec Laboratory for Environmental Testing (QLET) is located in Old Montreal and consists of a chemistry laboratory, an ecotoxicological laboratory and field services. It is involved in a multitude of studies and research programs aimed at better understanding how the ecosystems of the St. Lawrence River function and at keeping this knowledge up-to-date. QLET contributes to such initiatives as the St. Lawrence Action Plan ecosystem initiative.

QLET is fully accredited by CALA (the Canadian association for laboratory accreditation) under ISO/IEC 17025 Standards and is dedicated to the quality of the results it provides to its clients. The chemistry laboratory houses the "Ultra-Trace Mercury Analysis Laboratory" Centre of Excellence. QLET generally addresses two main categories of needs: environmental monitoring and research projects, and enforcement needs. Through its field services, it provides its clients with a car fleet, as well as 4X4 trucks and small boats for environmental sampling.
