State of the Lakes Ecosystem Conference 2011

The State of the Lakes Ecosystem Conference (SOLEC) is the key science broker for information on the Great Lakes ecosystem. SOLEC provides Great Lakes decision-makers and scientists with the opportunity to receive the most comprehensive, up-to-date information on the state of the Great Lakes, see thought-provoking presentations and network with hundreds of stakeholders.

SOLEC focuses on the condition of the Great Lakes based on indicator assessments with the upcoming conference focusing on the theme of Linking Land to the Lakes.

The conference is hosted by Environment Canada and the United States Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of Canada and the United States, in response to reporting requirements of the binational Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement.
