Geocache Your Watershed
Welcome to Geocache Your Watershed. This is an exciting project of Environment Canada and is an innovative way to involve students, teachers and the public in water-related issues.
The objective is to have high schools promote information on their watershed to others that use that watershed. The students will research their local watershed and develop information pamphlets about what they have learned. This knowledge will then be transferred to the public who visit their watershed location through geocaching.
The Geocache Your Watershed project will be included as part of the Know Your Watershed website that Environment Canada established last year.

Get the facts...
Oceans, which are salt water, contain 94% of the earth's water. Because of the salt, oceans are not direct sources of fresh water. The ocean water has to evaporate and become vapour in order to become fresh water.
