Potential Options for Information Gathering or Preventive Actions

Comment

1. We are concerned about the plan to monitor changes in the use of these substances. They have not been available for some time, and there is little chance they will be used in Canada in the future. Nonetheless, we would be pleased to help determine options for monitoring changes in the use and potential exposure of these substances.

Response

Options on how best to monitor changes in the use profile of these high hazard substances are being investigated. Stakeholders will have the opportunity to provide feedback on a consultation document, describing potential options for information gathering or preventive actions, to be published once assessments for all of the Aromatic Azo and Benzidine-based Substance Grouping are completed
