Environmental Performance Agreements

Environment Canada uses a range of tools to protect the environment, including non-regulatory agreements with industry that commit certain sectors or companies to specific challenges or performance levels.

Each agreement is negotiated around the key principles and design criteria outlined in Environment Canada's Policy Framework for Environmental Performance Agreements. On this site you will find information on agreements that have already been signed with Environment Canada or that are currently under negotiation.
