Invasive Alien Species Partnership Program
April 20, 2012
As part of Environment Canada’s contribution to the effort by the Government of Canada to balance the federal budget, the funding for the Invasive Alien Species Partnership Program (IASPP) was terminated as of March 31, 2012. Consequently, no funding is available to organizations that applied to the Program in the fall of 2011 for projects that would have been implemented in the 2012-13 fiscal year. Environment Canada appreciates the interest of these and all organizations that have participated in the Program and that take action to address the issue of invasive alien species in Canada. For information on other funding programs visit Environment Canada's Funding Program web page.
Between 2005 and 2012, the IASPP supported 170 projects totaling nearly $5.6 Million in funding to engage Canadians in actions to prevent, detect and manage IAS in order to minimize the risk the species pose to Canada’s environment, economy and society. A five-year report for the IASPP (2005-2010) is available online. To view summaries of the projects funded under the IASPP, please select a fiscal year from the list below:
