Location: Town of Peace River
Funds Available: $202,500.00
Use Restrictions: For the specific purpose of promoting the proper management and control of fisheries or fish habitat, or the conservation or protection of fish or fish habitat in the Peace River, its tributaries, and watershed in the Province of Alberta, particularly at or near the Town of Peace River.

Atlantic Canada: Newfoundland and Labrador/ New Brunswick/ Prince Edward Island/ Nova Scotia

Application deadline: May 31, 2013

Location: Coastal / offshore Atlantic Canada
Funds Available: $60,000.00
Use Restrictions: For projects conducting research into the ecological use and disposal of pollutant(s) in the Atlantic Canadian marine environment.

Newfoundland and Labrador

Application deadline: May 31, 2013

Location: Coastline of Newfoundland’s Avalon Peninsula/ smaller islands off eastern Newfoundland
Funds Available: $3,000
Use restrictions: For restoration and environmental quality improvement projects focused on protecting and enhancing salmonid habitat and the fisheries sector.  Education and awareness proposals associated with both improving disposal techniques of processed fisheries sector waste as well as promoting more cost effective alternatives for waste disposal will also be considered.
