This map shows all the sampling sites (8615) in the Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network (CABIN).  These sites were sampled between 1983 and 2011.  The sites are non-uniformly distributed across Canada.  The sites are displayed in 2 groups: all sites sampled between 1983 and 2008 and all sites sampled between 2009 and 2011. There were 6874 (77%) CABIN sites collected in Canada before 2009 and 2039 (23%) sites collected between 2009 and 2011.  The Arctic Ocean watershed has 622 sites (7%).  The Atlantic Ocean watershed has 4464 sites (50%).  The Hudson Bay watershed has 517 sites (6%).  The Pacific Ocean watershed has 3310 sites (37%).
