Montréal, Que. -- November 17, 2011 -- Green Christmas will be returning to the Biosphere from November 19 to December 23, 2011. The magical surroundings of the Environment Museum provide an ideal setting for this year’s holiday season programming, starring the 3 Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle). What’s more, the Recycling-Artists Eco Fair is a unique must-see event where visitors can shop for items made entirely from recycled materials.

Recycling-Artists Eco Fair: December 2 to 4

Now in its 6th edition, the Fair brings together 50 exhibitors inspired by a shared artistic and environmental approach. Visitors to this major eco-responsible event will find a variety of objects made from recycled materials, including utility items, clothing, jewellery and accessories. Admission is free and, as a special treat to mark the occasion, admission to the ONE | Outfits for a New Era exhibition is also free. Schedule: Friday, December 2, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Eco-wrapping Workshops

In the spirit of upcycling, young and old are invited to discover the art of creating beautiful gift boxes. Schedule: 1 p.m. (French) and 2 p.m. (English), Saturdays and Sundays on November 19–20, and 26–27, and December 10–11, and 17–18.
