8. Communications strategy

A strategic communications strategy is developed for each Federal Sustainable Development Strategy (FSDS) and Progress Report. The strategy includes such items as:

  • communications objectives and considerations
  • analysis of public environment
  • anticipated reaction
  • storyline and core government messages
  • announcement strategy
  • supporting communications tools
  • evaluation methods
  • budget

Questions and Answers are also developed and shared with all FSDS departments and agencies. Each participating department supplies the Sustainable Development Office with the names of contacts for media inquiries.
