Free weekends at the Biosphere!

To help celebrate the Fête des neiges de Montréal, admission to the Biosphere will be free for the event's four weekends!

Join us every weekend from January 18 to February 9, 2014.

Visiting hours

The Biosphere will be closed during the Christmas holidays, from December 23 to January 14 inclusively, as well as statutory holidays.

October 1 to May 31:
Monday and Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday to Sunday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

June 1 to September 30:
Monday to Sunday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Entrance fees (taxes included)

Entrance fees for individuals
Adults: $12
Students (18 and older) with ID: $10
Youth (17 and under): FREE*
The Montréal Museum Pass and Accès Montréal Cards are accepted.

*Does not apply to organized groups. These include: schools, day camps, summer camps, day-nurseries, CPE (Centres de la petite enfance), youth or community organizations and any other organization considered as such.

Students (18 and older) with ID: $7.25
Youth (4 to 17 years old): $6.25
"The Biosphere ... À la carte!" guided tour is offered to groups of 15 people or more by reservation.

As a member of the Board of Montréal Museum Directors (BMMD), the Biosphere is among the major Montréal museums and attractions subscribing to and selling the Montréal Museums Pass. Three different passes are available.

Cultural Access Pass

Cultural Access Pass

The Biosphere participates in the the Cultural Access Pass (CAP), which engages new citizens in cultural experiences through complimentary access to participating institutions in their region. Registering for a CAP gives each new citizen (18 years of age or older) and up to four of their dependent minor children complimentary admission to participating institutions for one year from the day they receive their citizenship.

How to get to the Biosphere?

By metro: Jean-Drapeau station (Yellow Line); two-minute walk.

By bike: From the South Shore of Montréal or downtown, take the bike path on Jacques-Cartier Bridge. From the Old Port of Montréal, take the Concorde Bridge.

On the Jacques-Cartier Bridge:

From Montréal:

  1. Take the exit for La Ronde/Parc Jean-Drapeau.
  2. Follow the signs to the Biosphere.

From Longueuil:

  1. Take the exit for La Ronde/Parc Jean-Drapeau.
  2. Follow the signs to the Biosphère.

On the Bonaventure Expressway (from downtown, via University Street):

  1. Take exit 2 (Pierre-Dupuy Avenue/Port of Montréal).
  2. Follow the signs to Parc Jean-Drapeau.
  3. On the Concorde Bridge, at the first stop, turn right (Macdonald Road).
  4. Continue till you see the Biosphere sign, then turn left.
