National Air Pollution Surveillance (NAPS) Network - Annual Summaries for 2000 7/AP/33/B

cover of publicationThe NAPS network monitors and continually assesses the quality of ambient air in 52 major urban centres and rural locations across the country. In support of the National Ambient Air Quality Objectives, measurements for the following pollutants are reported: sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone and suspended particulate matter. In addition, lead, sulphate, nitric oxide, PM10 and PM2.5 (particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of less than 10 and 2.5 microns) are also reported.
