Third Report of Progress Under the Canada-Ontario Agreement Respecting the Great Lakes Basin Ecosystem 1997-1999

This is the third progress report since the two governments signed the Canada-Ontario Agreement (COA) Respecting the Great Lakes Basin Ecosystem in 1994. It is through the COA that Canada meets its obligations under the Canada-U.S. Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement (GLWQA). The purpose of this report is to present the achievements and to outline progress made by federal and provincial agencies and their partners in meeting the targets and objectives under the COA. The report provides a summary of the targets that have been met, and a description of the actions under way and proposed to meet the targets where work still remains.
