Canadian Protected Areas Status Report, 2000-2005. Summary Bulletin

The Canadian Protected Areas Status Report has been prepared as an examination of the current state of terrestrial and marine protected areas in Canada. The report constitutes a "self-assessment" by federal, provincial and territorial protected areas agencies, using a standardized questionnaire as a primary means to gather information. The report assesses the status of protected areas design, planning, management and establishment across the country, and documents recent successes and accomplishments. This bulletin provides a summary of the findings of the Canadian Protected Areas Status Report.
