International River Improvements Act: Annual Reports for 2004-2007
The International River Improvements Act controls construction of dams, canals or other works which would effect the flow or level of a river from the United States to Canada. This annual report describes the department’s operations under the Act for the period from 2004 to 2007. During the four-year period, the following applications and notifications of exception were received and responded to by the Minister of the Environment: two applications for a licence; granting of one licence; new two-year licences were issued for three expired licences; and three notifications of exception were made.
